RECYCLING CENTER HOURS
Winter: 11/1 through 4/30 Wednesday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Summer: 5/1 through 10/31 Wednesday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day: Sunday 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Severe weather closings will follow the Spooner and Webster School Districts
Recyclables need to be clean. No food residue and no petroleum containers.
One contaminated item can cause a whole dumpster to be put in a landfill
instead of being recycled.
Recycling Rules have changed
China is not accepting the world’s recyclables like they used to, causing recycling to mount. Consumers will need to be more diligent. Reduce, Reuse as much as possible, then Recycle last. The Recycling Center is only accepting plastic containers with codes 1, 2 and 5 now. Please read the Recycling Commission letter here: Waste Crisis
